steakhouse on 8 26 12

feeling a little steakhouse night, so we created a menu that did just that.
caesar salad, little gems lettuce, parmesan cheese, spanish white anchovy, toasted bread.

fried tybee island shrimp, lemon, mayo, georgia sweet corn, pickled okra, heirloom tomatoes and basil.

black pepper crusted hanger steak with marble potatoes, sweet potato greens, padron peppers, housemade butter and staplehouse sunnyside sauce.

chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, luxardo cherries, whipped creme fraiche.

sweet georgia corn soup with housemade bacon, shephard's way sheep milk cheese. it's hard to beat georgia corn and the window on the yellow gold is closing for the season, so this rich bowl of sweet goodness will have to carry you through till next year.
sweet maine peekytoe crab and heirloom pole bean salad with pickled chilis, grilled H&F baguette and staplehouse sunny side sauce. if you can't vacation in maine this summer, we have brought maine to you!
arctic sea trout with heirloom potatoes, sweet potato greens and roasted tomato chimichuri.
orange cake with morelli's vanilla ice cream, bourbon orange marmalade and whipped housemade creme fraiche.

sunday, august 5th. rewind.

back at it this past weekend with some awesome summer goodies. we started off with a watermelon salad with crispy iowa prosciutto, feta, wild baby greens, farro and herb vinaigrette. 
next up, tybee island shrimp, heirloom tomatoes, pickled green tomato, toasted bread and bacon jam.
braised pork belly with pepperonata and roasted baby carrot salad.
 
chocolate pots de creme with chocolate crumble, carmelized figs, whipped cream and sea salt.
